What you need to know
The Bear Archery TD Hawk is a takedown recurve bow built for archers who want the classic feel of traditional shooting without sacrificing modern convenience. Its riser is crafted from durable hardwood or composite material, depending on the finish chosen, and is designed to accept limbs of varying draw weights, giving both new and experienced archers room to grow into heavier poundages as their skill develops. The bow's limbs attach securely using a simple bolt-and-pocket system, allowing for quick disassembly into three compact pieces that fit easily into a backpack or bow case, making it a favorite among bowhunters, target shooters, and anyone who values portability without giving up performance.
Shooting the TD Hawk delivers the smooth draw and stable release that Bear Archery is known for, with a riser geometry engineered to reduce hand shock and improve accuracy across various shooting distances. The bow typically comes pre-drilled to accept accessories such as an arrow rest, stabilizer, and bow quiver, giving shooters the flexibility to customize their setup for either bare-bow traditional shooting or a more accessorized hunting configuration. Its recurve limb design stores and releases energy efficiently, translating into a fast, flat arrow trajectory that suits both small game hunting and target practice on the range.
Built with reliability and longevity in mind, the Bear Archery TD Hawk features a durable finish that resists wear from repeated use and outdoor exposure, while the limb-to-riser connection remains snug and consistent shot after shot. Archers appreciate its balanced weight distribution, which contributes to steady aiming and reduced fatigue during extended practice sessions. Whether used by a beginner learning proper form or a seasoned hunter seeking a dependable takedown recurve for field use, the TD Hawk stands out as a versatile, well-constructed bow that captures the enduring appeal of traditional archery while meeting the practical demands of today's shooters.
